Sleeping Children – Lullabies For Debauchery
(Strobelights Records)

Hmmm. I can hardly express any feelings on this band. Eventhough, these young French signed away themselves to my favourite music style, I just cannot find the right taste of them. Presently, the scene is being gluted with bands, who are rediscovering the old school gothic music generaly known as “batcave” or death rock again. Some of them are good, some of them excellent and some just simply copy. Despite some interesting moments on “Lullabies For Debauchery”, I dare to put this band into the last mentioned category. Sleeping Children might have a hiden potential, which they will maybe show on the next album, and maybe they are good live, but with what they offer here is not enough, I think. Little interesting, little convincing. I will not complain if they surprise me in the future!
